Pretty much. the ocean is the ocean, so there is no gaurantees, but ive never heard of any sharks. of all the hours in the water , nothing ever happened to me. I hear of the rare searchin being stepped on, but nothing ever serious. Mostly you have to watch out for the rocks and coral in certain areas of the beaches , I just go to the sandy areas. Have fun. Yes it is safe for you, but please don't touch anything. That reef is alive and dies a little bit more each time somebody touches it. Also, please leave the sea life alone as well. Don't touch/ride turtles. They don't like it and they need to breath air just like us. They just hold their breath longer than we can, so you never know when their time is up.
